Installation commands and requirements can change. Before running commands, follow the official installation instructions for the current release and check the repository's supported Node.js/npm versions.
1. Check prerequisites
- Install a currently supported Node.js version and npm if required by the official installation method.
- Open a new PowerShell terminal and verify the tools are available.
node --version npm --version
2. Install using the current official instructions
Use the installation command published by the official 9Router repository or documentation. Avoid copying install commands from unofficial forks unless you intentionally want that fork.
3. Launch the service
Start 9Router using the current CLI instructions. Keep the terminal open and review startup output for the listening address, port, warnings, and errors.
4. Open the dashboard
Use the dashboard URL printed by the service. Some releases have used a local dashboard such as http://localhost:20128/dashboard; verify the actual URL and port shown by your version.
5. Run a first request
- Configure at least one supported provider using its documented method.
- Confirm the provider credentials and model availability.
- Test with a short request before connecting a coding client.
